psychological and sociological questions in American education and discusses
historical policies and programs designed to improve US schools. It offers an
overview of the influential theories on learning and teaching, focusing on
how these views have influenced public education in a diverse society. The
course gives students an opportunity to explore their own interests as they
prepare to teach or work in education related contexts.
