Focus on industrialization, antebellum reform, slavery, the Civil War battlefield and homefront, Reconstruction, and the creation of a New South. 4 lectures. Prerequisite: Junior standing; completion of GE Area A, D1 and one course from D2, D3, or D4. Fulfills GE D5 except for History majors.
