The purpose of this course is to examine specific theories related to child development, learning, and behavior and to become familiar with the typical developmental milestones associated with infants, toddlers, pre-school and school age children. In the discussion of typical child development, students will learn to identify the characteristics of atypical development. This class will also cover information on the impact of biological and environmental factors on human development.
