This course will give teachers valuable skills for promoting the integration of students with special needs in the regular classroom environment. Topics include state and federal special education legislation, the characteristics of exceptional learners, behavior management and problem solving techniques, teaching strategies, and consultation skills. Note: This course fulfills state special populations requirements for most K-12 preliminary teaching credentials.
