Analysis of the classroom as a microcosm of society. Focuses on issues related to meeting the educational needs of students with diverse backgrounds and char- acteristics including gender, religion, ability, ethnicity, culture, socioeconomic status, class, and language.
Lecture, 3 hours; outside research, 3 hours. Prerequisite(s): completion of or current enrollment in one of the fol- lowing courses: EDUC 002, EDUC 003, EDUC 100B.
