MATH 41A - Concepts of Elementary Mathematics Survey of the elements of mathematics usually taught in the elementary schools. Emphasis is on development of real number system by intuitive and semi-rigorous methods, discussion of sets, axiomatics, systems of numeration, arithmetic processes, inductive and deductive reasoning and problem solving. MATH 41B - Concepts of Elementary Mathematics Survey of the elements of mathematics usually taught in the elementary grades from an advanced standpoint. Emphasis is on geometry, probability and statistics. You must take BOTH of these courses to satisfy the Fundamental Math prerequisite.
