Educational psychology is application of scientific research to the examination of the behaviors of individuals and groups in an educational setting. The overarching goal of educational psychologists and others involved in educational psychology is to improve education. Educational psychology encompasses the work of many different fields of psychology including developmental psychology, cognitive psychology, social psychology, and clinical psychology.
