2010: EDS 119. Legal and Social Foundations of Inclusive Education. Overview of the historical, philosophical, ethical, cultural and legal roots of education for both typically and atypically developing students. Students will acquire knowledge of current case law, federal and state laws and regulations, the development and implementation of IEPs, and up-to-date mandates from No Child Left Behind. The ethics of decision-making as well as the application of legal principles related to special education services will be a crucial part of this course. Prerequisite: Admittance into Mild/Moderate Credential. Graded: Graded Student. Units: 3.0
