This course is the continuation of elemen- tary algebra and is intended to prepare students for subsequent math classes.
It includes the study of the real number system, open sentences in one variable, polynomials, factoring, systems of linear equations, rational numbers, and func- tions. The course also covers irrational and complex numbers, quadratic equa- tions and functions, exponential and loga- rithmic functions, and quadratic relations and systems.
